Quality Assurance Framework for kindergartens comprises School Self-evaluation and Quality Review. Both are conducted on the basis of the Performance Indicators to ensure the consistency in reviewing the quality of schools. Performance Indicators, which are formulated according to the aims of kindergarten education, serve as the assessment tools for the quality of education in schools and cover four major "Domains", followed by eleven "Areas" (as shown in the diagram). Under each “Area”, there are various “Aspects” that encompass “Guiding Questions” and “Evidence of Performance”. By responding to the Questions and making reference to the Evidence, kindergartens can grasp its school context and needs, facilitating schools’ formulation of development direction for continuous improvement.
