The School Premises for allocation has been accorded with a Grade 1 status by the Antiquities Advisory Board.  The successful school sponsoring body should be responsible for the maintenance and upkeeping of the School Premises.  If any repair and/or maintenance works have to be carried out, due care should be taken to avoid any disturbance or damage to the Grade 1 historic building including its historic fabrics and structures thereon and thereof.  The successful school sponsoring body shall not carry out any repairs, maintenance, improvements, alterations or additions in the School Premises, whether structural or otherwise, unless prior written approval has been obtained from the Education Bureau.  The Education Bureau will consult the Antiquities and Monuments Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department for comment from a heritage conservation point of view when assessing the application.
