Prior to appointment, prospective teachers should follow the arrangements as stipulated in EDB Circular No. 1/2005 to have their non-local qualifications assessed by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications to ascertain whether their non-local qualifications are comparable to local qualifications.
Subject to the awarding circumstances and particulars of qualifications being comparable to those cases accepted for appointment to graduate teaching posts previously, the following non-local qualifications which have been previously accepted for appointment to graduate teaching posts will continue to be accepted as eligible for appointment to graduate teaching posts provided that they were awarded before 31 December 1998:
