About the Summit

Chief Executive Summit on Quality Education

New Style Through

Active Listening

As stated by the Chief Executive in the Policy Address 2017, to accomplish "people-oriented" governance, the current-term Government "listens", "cares" and "acts", and attaches importance to "innovation", "interaction" and "collaboration", striving to connect with the public and to address public aspirations more closely. To introduce "New Style Through Active Listening" and encourage public participation and discussion during the formulation of policies, the Chief Executive will host an annual "Chief Executive Summit on Quality Education" (Summit). Stakeholders of the education sector, including frontline teachers, will be invited to the Summit to chart the future together.

The first "Chief Executive Summit on Quality Education" will be held on 2 June 2018 (Saturday) at the Conference Hall of the Central Government Offices, with the theme on "Teachers’ Professional Development: Striving for Teaching Excellence". The Summit will include keynote speech, panel discussion and interactive session between the Chief Executive and the floor.
