Theme-based Reading eBook Lists and Suggested Reading Activities

To encourage primary students to develop an interest in reading from a young age,  the EDB has selected eBooks themed on “Inspirational Reading” from the electronic collection of the Hong Kong Public Libraries and categorised them into three reading themes, namely “Growth and Inspiration”, “Scientific Discovery and Aerospace Technology” and “Biography or Success Story of Celebrities”, so that students can develop proper values, attitudes and behaviour through reading.   In addition, each eBook comes with suggested reading activities for schools’ reference and adoption.  Schools may tailor-make or design suitable reading tasks according to the interests and abilities of their students, and school-based curriculum with a view to developing students’ reading interests and learning skills.

The above series of eBooks are the e-Resources of the Hong Kong Public Libraries.  For details of how to use the e-Resources, please visit the following webpage.
