Community Care Fund Assistance Programmes


  • The Education Bureau has implemented the following 15 assistance programmes under the Community Care Fund.  Among them, the School-based After School Care Service Scheme (Expanded Programme)* is an on-going assistance programme and the remaining 14 programmes have been incorporated into the Government regular assistance programmes / completed.


    • School-based After School Care Service Scheme (Expanded Programme)*

    • Subsidy to Meet Lunch Expenses at School

    • Enhancement of the Flat Rate Grant under the School Textbook Assistance Scheme

    • Enhancement of the Financial Assistance for Needy Students Pursuing Programmes Below Sub-degree Level

    • Extra Travel Subsidy for Needy Special School Students

    • Provision of Funding for Ordinary Schools to Arrange Special Educational Needs Coordinators Pilot Scheme

    • Subsidy for Persons Holding Non-local Qualifications to Conduct Qualifications Assessment

    • Providing Hostel Subsidy for Needy Undergraduate Students

    • Increasing the Academic Expenses Grant under the Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students

    • Enhancing the Academic Expenses Grant for Students with Special Educational Needs and Financial Needs Pursuing Post-secondary Programmes

    • School-based Fund (Cross-boundary Learning Activities)

    • After-school Care Pilot Scheme

    • Provision of a One-off Special Subsidy for Students on Full Grant under the School Textbook Assistance Scheme before the Launch of the Low-income Working Family Allowance Scheme

    • Provision of a One-off Grant for School-related Expenses to Kindergarten Students

    • Provision of Subsidy to Needy Primary and Secondary Students for Purchasing Mobile Computer Devices to Facilitate the Practice of e-Learning
