The information on the fee of the programmes and activities is directly provided by the organisations and any fee arrangement is entirely determined and administered by the organisations concerned. Therefore, related enquiries should be directed to the organisations. Schools should consider the principles of cost-effectiveness and "quality rather than quantity that matters" when planning and organising life-wide learning activities. Schools should note that more expensive programmes are NOT necessarily more effective.
With reference to the recommendations by appropriate curriculum documents and taking into consideration of the students' learning needs, cognitive and affective developmental stages, schools should consider whether a programme or activity is in line with the learning objectives of life-wide learning, appropriate for the students and whether it can help students achieve the learning goals of Hong Kong school education. School teachers should play their professional role in facilitating student learning in life-wide learning activities, rather than just relying on the partnering organisations or the programmes / activities provided.
