History Student Activity - Hong Kong Maritime Museum Student Docent Training Programme (2023-2024)

The Personal, Social and Humanities Education Section of the Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau and Hong Kong Maritime Museum (HKMM) co-organised the “Hong Kong Maritime Museum Student Docent Training Programme” from 2023 to 2024.

The training programme aims to enrich the understanding of junior secondary students on the 9th Century (Tang Dynasty) Maritime Silk Road, and the trade and cultural exchanges between China and the Arab world, so as to arouse students' interest in studying history and broaden their global perspectives; and provides students with learning experiences outside classroom, so as to develop their potential and abilities in leading museum guided tours and studying history.

The programme was concluded successfully.  Please refer to the thematic website of HKMM for the assessment results of student performance in the training programme, details of the programme, etc. at https://www.hkmaritimemuseum.org/event-details/hkmm-student-docent-training-programme-2023-2024
