Health Management and Social Care Field Learning Expo 2024



Theme: Innovative Ideas and Practices for Healthy Lifestyles and Field Learning
It aims to showcase students’ innovative designs and practices in promoting healthy lifestyles and field learning. The Expo will be held on 1 June 2024 and consists of four parts:

 A. Public Exhibition

To showcase students’ achievements in designing innovative solutions in the areas of health and social care
Date1 June 2024 (Saturday)
Venue

West Block, Education Bureau Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre, 19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong.

Time10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Exhibits
  • Healthy lifestyles
  • Experiential learning on mental health – Chill-e-motion
  • Latest information on the services, projects and resources for promoting mental health at schools
  • Further study and career pathways of related professions
RemarkIn the event of public announcement by the EDB that class suspension of all schools as a result of adverse weather conditions (e.g. tropical cyclone or rainstorm), the exhibition will be cancelled.

 

B. Innovative solutions

It aims to encourage Secondary 1-6 students to apply knowledge and skills in the Technology Education Key Learning Area such as the applications of information technology, product design and social innovation to propose creative and feasible solutions that promote health and social care.

Schools interested in arranging students to participate in the Workshop cum Briefing Session on 9 November 2024 (Saturday) should complete and return the application form on or before 21 October, 2024 (Monday).

C.  Outstanding Student Award

The Outstanding Student Award aims to enhance S4-S6 students’ reflective thinking in field learning. Each school can nominate at most three students to participate. Schools interested in nominating students to participate, please complete the Nomination Form and return it with student’s reflection on or before 1 March 2024 (Friday). School will be notified the students shortlisted for interview by email on or before 22 March 2024 (Friday).

D. Sharing on Field Learning

To provide the latest information and various field learning opportunities of HMSC to students. Schools and students with good practices will also be invited to share their experiences in conducting the field learning.
