Hong Kong Teachers’ Exchange Activities to the Mainland (2024/25)


The theme is “Consolidating Reading Foundations: Diversified Strategies to Nurture Students’ English Reading Skills and Interests”
 
Stage 1

Date: 3 – 5 March, 2025

Location: Hong Kong

Mainland exchange representatives: Representatives from the Department of Education, Guangdong, and Huizhou primary and secondary school English teachers.

At this stage, activities were mainly about professional development conducted by EDB officers from different sections and two school visits including lesson observations.

Highlights:


Hong Kong Education Bureau representative took a group photo with the Mainland exchange representatives and Hong Kong exchange teachers at the opening ceremony.

Mainland exchange representatives visited Pentecostal Lam Hon Kwong School and took a group photo.

Mainland exchange representatives had a discussion on the key areas of support with Hong Kong exchange teachers.

Mainland exchange representatives participated the lesson observation of secondary 4 class about English lesson at Pentecostal Lam Hon Kwong School.


Mainland exchange representatives visited Ying Wa Primary School and took a group photo.

Ying Wa Primary School students gave a school tour to the Mainland exchange representatives.
