Kindergarten Premises Allocation Exercise 2024

Introduction

The Kindergarten Premises Allocation Exercise 2024 has started.  The six new estate kindergarten premises, each providing six to nine classrooms, are located in Kwun Tong District, Yuen Long District, North District, Sha Tin District and Islands District, and will be available between 2025 and 2026.  The aforementioned kindergarten premises are open for application by eligible applicant bodies under the Exercise.

Submission of Application Forms, Information on Operation Plan and Supporting Documents
 
Application forms, Information on Operation Plan and supporting documents including documentary proof of eligibility as detailed in paragraph 1 of Points to Note should reach EDB at the following address no later than 5 pm on 19 September, 2024:

Kindergarten Education Division

Education Bureau

Room 1432, 14th Floor, Wu Chung House

213 Queen’s Road East, Wanchai, Hong Kong



The supporting documents (items (a) - (d)) should NOT be stapled together with the Information on Operation Plan (item(e) below).   The following documents should be submitted: 

    1. One (1) original copy of the duly completed and signed application form;
    2. If the applicant body is incorporated under the Companies Ordinance, please provide its incorporation document with its Articles of Association (A&A) and complete the Annex to the Application Form;
    3. If the applicant body is incorporated under its own Ordinance, please provide the content of the relevant Ordinance, and its Constitution (if any);
    4. Applicant body’s certificate of exemption from tax;
    5. Five(5) copies each of the following documents: (i) the duly completed Information on Operation Plan, and (ii) list of operating KGs and schools run by the applicant body (if any, please list the names, addresses and types of schools).


Late applications will not be accepted.

The invitation for application and submission of application form is non-binding in nature.  It does not constitute any kind of offer or the basis of any kind of offer to any party for Kindergarten Premises Allocation Exercise, nor does it create any legal obligations on the Government.  It does not prejudice any future scrutiny by the Government, nor commit them to any course of action including whether or not to approve any allocation at all, irrespective of the number of applications received. Nothing in this invitation shall oblige the Government to allocate the premises to any party at any time.
