  • Our school have set up an "e-learning study room" and an “e-learning team” to support teachers and students in using e-learning tools for several years.
  • Our school has launched the "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) scheme which has now extended to all the junior classes. We also organise parent seminars relating to IT in education every year so as to enhance home-school cooperation as well as to strengthen parents’ confidence in e-learning.
  • We make good use of different e-learning platforms and tools and organise related activities, including Virtual Reality (VR) trainings, outdoor field trips, in different subjects such as Chinese Language, Mathematics, Geography, Citizenship and Social Development and school-based STEAM Education, in order to enhance the learning and teaching effectiveness and strengthen students’ self-directed learning abilities.

  • Our school is dedicated to enhance students' self-directed learning abilities. Through wireless network and mobile learning devices, coupled with various e-learning platforms, we teach students relevant e-learning skills to improve learning and teaching effectiveness and cater for learner diversity.
  • Our school excels in promoting cross-disciplinary learning, combining Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) software to implement cross-disciplinary learning for Science subjects and Information and Communication Technology. Using project-based learning, we develop students' generic skills, including collaboration, communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Our school has rich experience in implementing e-learning in various subjects. We have adopted different e-learning tools to cater for students with different abilities, so as to promote e-learning and enhance learning and teaching effectiveness.

Additionally, we participate in the Quality Education Fund Theme-based Networks (QTN) program to promote the development of STEAM education in primary and secondary schools.

  • Our school have fully implemented the “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) scheme by utilising wireless network and mobile learning devices, to enhance the learning and teaching effectiveness. Besides, we use “Flipped Classroom” in various subjects, to enhance students’ self-directed learning.
  • We have established an “e-Leadership and e-Learning Team” to provide administrative support and strengthen the implementation of IT in education in all subjects.
  • School-based Maker Education has already been implemented in our junior secondary curriculum to foster students’ IT competence and computational thinking through developing their “hands-on” abilities and creativity.

SKH Li Fook Hing Secondary School

  • Our school not only proactively develops innovative technology education and a digital campus but also intensely strives to integrate IT into learning and teaching, and school administration in order to enhance the effectiveness.
  • We fully use the parent app and electronic real-time payment system to enhance home-school communication. We migrated the existing student information system from our school server to a professional cloud server for better performance.
  • We enhanced the Wi-Fi infrastructure for the use of e-learning resources in classrooms that enhances teacher-student interaction.
  • All junior secondary students use mobile learning devices in a 1:1 manner for achieving creative interactive classroom. Meanwhile, we actively strengthen Information Literacy (IL) related education. Under the new normal, the use of mobile computer devices enables students to continue their learning at home.
  • We apply the newest technology in education. We have adopted Google Workspace for Education Plus and Chromebook for Google Classroom from early years. Moreover, we used Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technology to optimise all classroom desktop computers and equipped a laser touch interactive panel in some of the special rooms.
  • Our school launched the DIY and VR experience activity called “STEM with Google VR Cardboard” in the early years and further promoted reading using Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). Besides, we built an intelligent library, making use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to replace the original barcode scanning when carrying out book circulation and inventory management.

Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School
  • Our school has embraced whole-school approach to foster blended learning, alongside the establishment of the AI Gifted Education Team.
  • With the use of e-learning tools, learning is extended outside the classroom and integrated with Other Learning Experiences (OLE) activities, e.g. virtual visit for the elderly, virtual study tour and online activity day. Various online learning platforms and educational apps are applied in lessons to cater for learner diversity and nurture students’ generic skills, and engage students in self-directed learning, “learning to learn” and knowledge building.
  • Following the establishment of the 2nd “Microsoft AI Inno Lab” in Hong Kong in 2021, our school has set up the 1st “Microsoft Future Library” in Hong Kong in 2023, utilising technology to provide an immersive reading experience.
  • The school-based Service Learning and Values Education at our school apply the spirit of 'AI for Good', using empathy as a starting point and employing ‘Design Thinking’ to improve well-being. Our school also won several awards as recognition of our efforts.
