Remember to blink regularly and completely | ""20-20-20 see beyond the screen rule" – look at something 20 feet (or 6 m) away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes | Limit electronic device use and increase outdoor play | Seek advice from eye care professional to exclude serious eye problems if symptoms persist |
Dry eye is a major complaint that is targeted in the therapy of CVS. With the triple "A"s strategies (Adjust environment, Adjust digital screen devices and Adjust behaviors), most of the dry eye symptoms can be improved. Several additional environmental adjustments may also be helpful, such as using a room humidifier, and redirection of heating or air conditioning vents away from the eyes. In severe cases (e.g., eye pain, tearing, redness), the use of artificial-tear eye drops help alleviates the symptoms of dry eye. | |||

However, if the symptoms do not improve, it is important to seek professional medical advice to ensure there are no other underlying eye conditions that may exacerbate dry eye symptoms (e.g., blepharitis, allergic eye disease). |
