Objectives
To enrich participants' knowledge on the place of Design Thinking in whole-school curriculum planning
To provide hands-on activities for participants to identify the needs of students anddevise actionable plans along the principles of Design Thinking
To enable participants to reflect on their school plans
Targets
Curriculum leaders / middle managers withexperience in whole-school curriculum planning, such as prinicpals, vice principals and Prefects of Studies
School Leaders' Workshop on Whole-school Curriculum Planning (Secondary Schools) (2018/19 - 2021/22 School Years)
Objectives
To deepen schools’ understanding of the major emphases of the ongoing curriculum renewal set out in the Secondary Education Curriculum Guide (2017) and the Supplementary Notes to the Secondary Education Curriculum Guide (2017)
To encourage schools to reflect on the curriculum intent in creating space and opportunities for students’ whole-person development and lifelong learning
To facilitate their strategic planning of the school curriculum with due consideration given to factors such as the school contexts and societal expectations of students
To follow up on the recommendation made by the Task Force on Review of School Curriculum on enhancing the curriculum planning capacity of school leaders
Targets
Principals and other school leaders, for example, vice-principals, prefects of studies and co-ordinators of values education from government, aided (including special schools), Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) secondary schools and caput schools
